Our Story
Family run and locally produced
This well established vineyard was first planted in 2006 with a mix of Rondo, Regent and Bacchus grapes which have thrived in the light well drained sandy soils of Bromsberrow in Gloucestershire and benefiting from the unique Malvern Hills microclimate. It started on a jointly owned basis but since 2020 it has been wholly owned and family managed by Rufus and Elizabeth of Hatch Farm, next door. From the outset the grapes produced have been supplied to Three Choirs Vineyard in nearby Newent which is one of the most highly regarded wine producers in England. They convert our grapes into delicious red, rose and white still wines to our specification and they also provide us with a delightful dry Sparkling wine. The result is a select range of English wines of the highest quality produced with the highest standards and professionalism.

Why the Fox?

The fox that appears on every bottle of Chase End wine is inspired by a local legend. According to the story, a clever fox led the Ledbury Hunt on a long chase across the countryside before escaping on Chase End Hill. The chase ended, the fox won, and Chase End got its name.
